The results of the survey show that Wix was an easier platform to use. Users thought that with Wix, they could get their websites live quicker than with GoDaddy. This is likely due to Wix’s drag and drop feature, which makes it ridiculously easy to images and videos onto your webpage. It was also pretty easy to resize things on the platform. While GoDaddy presents a very intuitive platform design, it comes at the cost of having less customization.
Design Flexibility:
Every webmaster wants to run a website that is easy on the eye, yet simple to navigate. It is essential to note that while Wix and GoDaddy ADI products work similarly, they offer different levels of editing control to their users. In a bid to determine which of the two had better design, we spoke to a few web design experts. According to them, Wix offered better templates than GoDaddy. Wix offers much better tools and features than GoDaddy. However, GoDaddy offers a handful of resourceful features that Wix fails to deliver on, such as the recovery of abandoned carts and built-in email marketing. By large, Wix’s app market offers a much wider range of tools and quality features than GoDaddy.
When it comes to blogging, Wix offers a little more than GoDaddy. With their platform, you can categorize blog posts, track performance, social bookmarks, and embed search bars or comments sections. While GoDaddy offers categories segmentation and analytics, it doesn’t allow for the creation of comment sections or the search feature.
Wix allows its users to create email accounts specific to their selected domain name using Gsuite. Moreover, apps like ShoutOut make it possible to integrate marketing tools available on the apps with your domain. It makes it much easier to share your email marketing campaigns with your subscribers. GoDaddy, on the other hand, offers an entirely built-n email marketing feature. It also offers its email marketing service at an additional cost.
Pricing:
Cheaper prices are always preferred, but it is important to look at the value for your money. Wix offers an entirely free plan. Yes, it is true, with Wix, you can build and publish your website for free. This comes at the cost of having tacky adverts on your domain and subdomain. While GoDaddy does not offer a free plan, it has a 1-month free trial.
Wix provides more pricing plans to its users. With four non-eCommerce plans and three non-eCommerce plans that range between $13 and $49 per month, webmasters have a wide array of options to choose from. All premium plans on Wix are free from the firm’s adverts and promise at least 1GB of bandwidth. The most popular plan on Wix is the Unlimited Plan which goes for $14 per month.
GoDaddy offers four pricing plans with eCommerce functionality. The prices for these plans range between $10 and $25 per month. Their Basic plan is ideal for a personal site. However, if you are looking to build a business site, you’d want t to consider their standard and premium options. All GoDaddy pricing plans include a marketing tool named GoDaddy Insight and essential features like SSL certificates. I think Wix offers more value for your money than GoDaddy. However, GoDaddy is comparatively cheaper. Since Wix offers more overall quality and has more features than GoDaddy, its plans seem to offer better value for your money.
While Wix and GoDaddy are both top platforms for website building, Wix emerged the better option. With Wix, you simply get more features, more control, and, of course, more value.
